This year’s Teen Choice Awards (or the TCAs as they are more popularly known as) were as star studded as ever. Bella Thorne, Jordin Sparks, Emma Roberts, Ellen De Generes, Bella Thorne and Britney Spears were just some of the celebrities who increased the ‘oomph’ factor at the awards ceremony. Gina Rodriguez, Ludacris and Josh Peck hosted the show, and the audiences had a wonderful time with performances by their favourite musicians.
As is always the case, it was the ladies who stole the show at the Red Carpet of the TCAs. Dressed in their fanciest best, all of them tried hard to strike their best pose and pose the biggest smiles for the shutterbugs. For those of you who completely missed the TCAs, here’s a roundup of the fashion statements that created the biggest waves at the awards ceremony –
The actress looked darling in a white dress that had multiple designs embroidered across it in various colours. Her open hair, the off-shoulder look and her modest hem line was complemented by white heels and gold Jennifer Meyer jewelry. In a time where women are competing with each other to see who wears the least clothes, it sure was a welcome sight to see Miss Roberts dress so modestly.
The singer wore red platform heels that perfectly matched with her Max Mara red suit. She kept her accessories to a minimum and had her hair open and straight – the perfect combination when going for a retro-chic look. And those pink highlights in her hair? We must say we loved them.
The Modern Family actress went all summery with her attire – she wore yellow crop tops over a yellow high waist midi. She too kept her accessories to a minimum – she only carried a white clutch, wrote a statement bracelet and finished off her look with white Stuart Weitzman heels. She looked as pretty in her new hair colour as she did in her deep brown long locks.
Even though it’s the Autumn/Winter season that’s coming, seems like a lot of actresses were just not ready to go of the flirty vibe of summers. Yet again, another actress photographed in a completely feminine outfit was Lea Michele. Her strapless white, red, and blue floral dress by Monique Lhuillier along with her loose and beach-ready waves made her appear like a Barbie doll. And those red pumps? They were absolutely gorgeous!
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi
America’s sweetheart, Miss De Generes, looked a lot like Justin Bieber in her black tailored pants, jacket and graphic tee, but she pulled off the look much better than the singer. Her partner De Rossi went in the complete opposite direction – she wore a geometric black and white flared jumpsuit by Naeem Khan with delicate designs all across it. Her hair was open and loose and she finished off her look with statement earrings
