Lookbooks have been making quite an impact in the fashion world, and it looks like Hollywood celebs have started taking notice of these hugely popular forms of photograph compilations. An increasing number of divas have been seen wearing a lot of looks straight out of the lookbooks of numerous international designers, and we must say this is a trend which shows no signs of slowing down.
For those who don’t know about lookbooks, well they are collections of photographs collected together to showcase a photographer’s photos, a model’s photo-shoots, a brand’s clothing range, so on and so forth. They are an excellent source of gaining information on what the latest fashions are. This article will feature the 4 designs which were inspired from J.Crew’s autumn lookbook and copied by Hollywood’s pretty ladies –
High waist pants
Rihanna is the type of diva you always expect to see in edgy and eye-grabbing wardrobe choices. But here it looks like she took a leaf out of J. Crew’s lookbook and showed in a knit crop top and high-waist pants.
Now we admit that not a lot of people can pull off this high-fashion get-up, but then Rihanna is not just anybody, is she? The pale blue color of the top beautifully complements her beige pants, and she’s showing off and covering enough amounts of her skin to keep onlookers wondering.
Now the flared pants were popularized in the 60s by the likes of Twiggy, Jimi Hendrix and Mick Jagger but J.Crew took them to another level, giving them a wider flare than before. This makes them appear more like shararas, but since it’s a look not meant for everyday wear, Victoria Beckham toned it down a little by wearing tangerine flared pants. She wore them with a plain white shirt, large sunglasses and a big military-style coat, keeping her appearance minimalist yet extremely glamorous. It’s a very good look to try for in the coming winters
January Jones was spotted at the the 2015 Summer TCA Tour FOX All-Star Party at Soho House in California. She looked pretty in a Peter Pilotto Fall 2015 shift dress that was adorned with psychedelic prints. However, they were subtle enough not to take the attention away from her, and she balanced her appearance with nude sandals, minimal accessories and blue winged eye liner.
Black and White/Monotones
Monotones, and especially the combination of black and white, have been a favourite of both Hollywood and Bollywood for a long, long time.
Taking inspiration from J.Crew’s monotone dress, Hayden Panettiere showed up at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London looking absolutely adorable in a black and white Black Halo ensemble. Her gorgeous Christian Louboutin heels and Helmut Lang jacket accentuated her look and gave off a formal-chic vibe.
